Biography

Rita Theresa “Teresita” Laforteza Hermosa (born October 31, 1950), better known by her stage name, Tessie Tomas, is a Filipino actress, screenwriter, and stand-up comedian. Regarded as the original "Queen of Daytime TV", she is best known for hosting some of the most successful TV programs in the Philippines. She was the first Filipino actress to score a nomination in the Best Actress category at the International Emmy Awards for her performance in the 1989 film, A Dangerous Life.
