Kunchacko Boban is a Malayalam actor and producer whose career has gracefully transitioned from romantic heartthrob to one of the industry’s most versatile leading men. Grandson of legendary filmmaker Kunchacko, he made his debut in Aniyathipravu (1997), which became a blockbuster and earned him the tag of the “Chocolate boy” of Malayalam cinema.

Throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s, he cemented his image with hits like Niram (1999), Harikrishnans (1998), Sathyam Sivam Sundaram (2000), Swapnakoodu (2003), and Kasthooriman (2003), making him a favorite in youthful romances.

After a brief break from acting, Kunchacko reinvented himself with more diverse and mature roles, starring in acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Traffic (2011), Seniors (2011), Ordinary (2012), How Old Are You (2014), Take Off (2017), Virus (2019), Anjaam Pathiraa (2020), Nayattu (2021), Pada (2022), Nna Thaan Case Kodu (2022) and 2018 (2023), India’s official entry to the Oscars.
