Biography

Marty Krofft (born Moshopopoulos Yolas, April 9, 1937 — November 25, 2023) was a Canadian television creator, writer, and puppeteer. Alongside his older brother Sid, he produced numerous children's television and variety show programs in the U.S., particularly in the 1970s, including H.R. Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. The duo's fantasy programs often featured large-headed puppets, high-concept plots, and extensive use of low-budget special effects.
