Biography

Gustav Wärn (born May 15, 2001) is a Swedish writer and director. A self-taught filmmaker since the age of 15, Gustav honed his craft independently before furthering his education at Prague Film School in the Czech Republic. With a diverse filmography, he has directed 15 short films to date, including notable works such as 'Stella By Starlight' (2025), Do You See When Things Change (2025), 'Existence, Fragmented' (2024), 'Spread Yo Legs' (2024), 'My Grandmother Passed Away Last Night' (2023), and more.

His films often explore themes of self-discovery, longing, faith and doubt, interpersonal relationships, and loneliness. Gustav draws inspiration from directors like Paul Thomas Anderson, Roy Andersson, Wes Anderson, and Ruben Östlund, whose work has influenced his own storytelling approach.
