A short documentary film about Anton de Kom (Paramaribo, Suriname, 1898- Sandbostel 1945) , man of resistance, writer, who fought against racism, colonialism, war and nazism. In this short documentary film three of his children, all in their eighties, look back on their youth. A life that is closely connected to major historic events of both Suriname and The Netherlands.
